Detox is a medical withdrawal and detoxification from opioids. We implement advanced protocols to make this process as comfortable as possible. Detox is usually the first step in a treatment continuum and not a stand-alone therapy.

Opiates are a group of drugs that originate from the opium poppy or that have a chemical structure similar to the drugs derived from opium. When introduced into the body they produce pain relief as well as psychological effects.

Opioids are similar to opiates, they do the same things, but opioids are synthetic or partially synthetic chemicals that mimic naturally occurring opiates. In terms of treatment, there is no material difference.

Patients have the right to be pain free and a physician should not ignore that right even if it means prescribing painkillers after following the appropriate step wise approach. However, when the pain is treated, the patient should be weaned off their painkillers through the appropriate methods.

– Only 11% of RRCI patients have relapsed or returned-to-use. This is compared to universal statistics for opioid-dependent patients where the relapse rate can be as high as 90%.
– 86% of RRCI patients remain treatment adherent after 6 months, as compared to other programs that typically experience dropout rates of 67% and 55% for outpatient and residential treatment, respectively.
– While overdose deaths have skyrocketed, RRCI had a 0% mortality rate.

As a general rule, insurance typically covers the entire treatment plan. While some patients will have insurance policies that require deductibles or copays, once these obligations are met, treatment is typically covered at 100%. Yes. You and your family will have a primary counselor who will be by your side throughout your time at RRCI. You will be treated by the same physician and nurses, as we believe continuity of care and communication are paramount to successful outcomes.
